Bourne Mansion

A site located in Oakdale between Montauk highway and Great South Bay has been purchased by a non profit educational institution. The site was established as a private estate at the beginning of the 20th century and later hosted several educational institutions that used the original estate house and added other buildings.
The town of Islip rezoned the property with planned land reservation overlay that will permit the non profit to maintain the existing campus core and develop housing on the site.
